All biometric calculations—including your age, gender, height, weight, body fat percentage, activity multiplier, and macronutrient targets—are executed strictly within your local browser memory using pure client-side JavaScript.
2. What Data We Collect (And What We Don't)
- Personal Health & Biometric Data: We collect 0 bytes. Your numbers never leave your device. We do not maintain any user database.
- Tracking Cookies & Advertising Identifiers: We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, Facebook Pixels, or intrusive marketing SDKs.
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for your name, phone number, physical address, or email address to use the calculator.
3. Local Storage Usage
To provide a seamless user experience, Calorie.day uses your browser's native localStorage strictly for:
- Remembering your Theme preference (Light mode vs. Dark mode).
- Remembering your Unit system (Metric vs. Imperial) for future visits.
This data never leaves your browser and can be wiped at any time by clearing your browser cache and site cookies.
4. Web Server Logs
When you request pages from Calorie.day, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes standard technical server connection logs (such as IP address, browser user-agent, and requested file path) for the sole purpose of routing network packets, caching assets on CDN edge nodes, and mitigating malicious DDoS attacks. These technical logs are temporary, anonymized, and never correlated with individual identities.
5. Global Privacy Compliance (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD)
Because Calorie.day does not collect, process, profile, or sell personal data:
- GDPR (European Union): No personal data processing takes place outside your personal terminal device.
- CCPA / CPRA (California): We do not sell or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
- LGPD (Brazil): Your biometric inputs remain strictly private and local.
